قال الرب الله ضابط
الكل : غني أرعب كل الساكنين على وجه الأرض لأنه
قد آتي، يوم الرب قريب، يوم ظلمة وقتام، يوم غمام
وضباب، ينتشر مثل الفجر على الجبال شعب عظيم وقوي
لم يكن له شبيه منذ البدء، ولا يكون له من بعد إلى
سني جيل الأجيال. قدامه النار تأكل، وخلفه اللهيب
يحرق وتزلزل الأرض.

Before them the
earth shall be confounded, and the sky shall be
shaken: the sun and the moon shall be darkened,
and the stars shall withdraw their light. And
the Lord shall utter his voice before his host:
for his camp is very great: for the execution of
his words is mighty: for the day of the Lord is
great, very glorious, and who shall be able to
resist it?


أمامه وتهتز السماء وتنوح الشمس
والقمر ولا تعطي النجوم ضوءها، الرب يعطي صوته
أمام جيشه لأن يوم الرب عظيم جداً. عظيم هو ومخوف
وظاهر عند الذي يطيقه.
